8 Months…..

I can hardly believe that almost 8 months have passed since we said ” I do ” . It has been the most wonderful 8 months of my life. I would never choose to go back even if I don’t regret my single life at all. I loved that season of life as well. I’m so thankful for my Godly, loving husband. I was looking through some of our photos and enjoying remembering all the good things on that day. Family, friends and God’s presence. All photo credit’s go to simpleframes.com, flowers to Sheila’s flowers, videography to reflectionography.com, music to Life is Beautiful Music, ceremony to oldzionchurch.org, reception to edenresort.com, and many other details to family and friends. :) YOU all made it possible!

My handsome groom

I love this photo of him and his groomsmen!

We had a beautiful day after having alot of rainy days! The sun came out and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. This was the lovely church where we got married. I still love the dear place and want to go back and see it again.

January blessings…..

We had a wonderful time being together with my family, in PA over New Years. But now it’s back to the lovely Colorado and our lives. We have been having some mild weather so the other evening we took Alexander to the park to take a walk. It had almost reached 70 earlier in the day so it was still beautiful.

The other evening I was supposed to be making flour tortillas and I substituted an ingredient and much to my surprise I got something more like pie dough. So, I made this (below) and we loved it. It reminded me of how God does this in our lives. When we mess up and stray from His plan, He makes something good anyway if we allow Him to.

And of course, my little sunshine! We are working on being able to self entertain again this week. After a weekend of non-stop attention it’s been an adjustment for the little guy. But he’s learning again. He loved all his aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandma!

Alexander’s 1st Christmas…

We had a wonderful Christmas going over to Isaac’s siblings’ house for lunch. An Ethiopian lunch. Love that food! I’ve posted a few photos of the day and also a few of Alexander’s 3 month photos. He’s doing great. Growing, laughing out loud, teething, and so many other new things.

Isaac gave me this beautiful locket ornament!

He loves when Isaac plays guitar.

12 weeks today

I can hardly believe that 12 weeks have gone by with this little guy in our lives. He brings us so much joy! He’s weighing in at 12.5 lbs and 24 inches long.

Picture time with aunties

Today Beza and Selam came over and we were taking some pictures with Alexander. And a few others of fun little projects I’ve been working on for christmas and etc. Is it really possible that he could be teething already? He sure is acting like he’s starting….

Fun with Photos… Alexander

I’ve been having fun capturing Alexander’s first weeks on camera and since I haven’t posted for awhile I thought I would post some on here. SO many fun things to do and play with for him right now. He’s growing so fast and developing in skills and etc. faster. As you will see they aren’t the perfect photos but I had to post them anyway. He loves when Isaac is home and dedicates all his time to entertaining him. :) Which isn’t hard for Isaac to do!

This is his Ron Paul look. I often think he looks like him except only MUCH cuter! :)

Don’t ask me why, but I think maybe it’s the puffy/squinty eyes.

He loves playing and hitting these toys…. :)

2 months

I can’t believe my baby is 2 months already. Time flies. Loving watching him grow and change.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Westcliffe and such…..

Thursday after our big snow on Wednesday, mom, Carolyn and I went on a drive up to see Westcliffe. It was very good to be there again and it was beautiful as always. We only drove around and then stopped for lunch. I want to visit again soon and see some dear friends. We are having a grand time with Mom and Carolyn here. The time is going so fast and there are only a few days left.

We stopped by for a photo of the ranch where I used to live in 1997. Columbine Ranch.

We stopped and drove through Garden of the Gods on our way to Westcliffe.

A few miscellaneous ones. He loves to sleep in our bed a little too much! :)

Bath time with Carolyn

We had a wonderful snow on wednesday!

It was nice having Carolyn to take alot of pics whenever the opportunity arose.

Thank you Carolyn!

1 month old

My baby is 1 month and doing so well. I feel like both of us are more adjusted and on somewhat of a schedule now. I love seeing the changes in him. He is responding and paying attention to when we talk to him. I Love his smiles and am Cherishing every moment with him!

Time with Auntie Beza

I love watching him interact with his daddy….

Sleepy time

And again, he lets me know when he’s finished. :)

This morning we woke up to a wonderful peaceful winter wonderland.

Two days ago at 80 degrees. Oh well, it will be back. The weather in CO is always changing.
