One Year….

I’m so thankful for my wonderful husband of one year! Every day I fall more in love! We had a wonderful time in Vail, CO for the night. Took the day and night saturday, and enjoyed being together and enjoying the lovely little town. It was so hard to leave Alexander , but we left him in good hands. He acted like he knew I was leaving because he clung to me all morning, and cried when his Auntie Beza came to take care of him. But I think it was good for both of us. We have hardly been apart from each other since he was born. Here is some of our weekend in pictures.

The lovely village of Vail…

Ate at this adorable place… La Tour , A contemporary French restaurant

A complimentary finishing touch of strawberry lemonade with a ginger foam. Amazing flavor!

My handsome husband :)

This greeted us when we came back into our room from the front desk. Was a lovely surprise!

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. Their service was super~!

Interesting piece of art that changed colors over and over ….

The view from our room was beautiful

Delicious breakfast Sunday morning…

The way home…. we had a wonderful time but were so excited to go home and see Alexander.

That’s What Faith Can Do

This song blessed me beyond measure this morning!

What Faith Can Do

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you’re stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don’t have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That’s what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

Alexander – 6 months

ALEXANDER is growing by leaps and bounds. Yesterday he was 6 months old already. Time does fly! I decided to go out for a couple of hours and relax at the park with him and take some pictures. Well, it wasn’t very successful as far as getting alot of good ones of him smiling and having fun but that’s ok. He started sitting pretty good yesterday so I thought that works out great to take some pictures in that pose. But he was still scared to sit there all by himself, so he wasn’t too impressed most of the time that I had him sitting. I still like some of them even though it’s capturing more of his unhappy side. He was more scared and unsure of sitting like that than unhappy I guess. This is phase one because I want to do some more when he’s showing me a some happiness. Course I was taking them throughout the course of the day so I have some of his morning play time also and some other random ones.

Spring has spring here in Denver…..

Valentines day Memories …

We had a wonderful time on Valentines Day! Isaac planned a lovely evening at  The Aquarium Restaurant early evening. It is quite a romantic restaurant.

“Romance Under the Sea “

We took Alexander with us also and he was very entertained for the most part, watching all the fish swimming around and of course there were other things that got his attention as well. Lately I’ve been starting to feel a little inspired again with photography. It feels like MAYBE the desire to have fun with it is coming back. And it’s a great feeling. Even if so far most of it has been with my iphone. :) I need to get my camera out more. But here are just a few fun ones from the day. Not necessarily quality, just fun.

I made a dessert for us for after we get back but we had dessert there then so….  this was for later.

I love this expression on Alexander’s face… could be saying so many things. :)

We spent several hours walking under and beside the deep blue. Alexander did great!

Alexander is 4 Months

Our little bundle of JOY is growing by leaps and bounds. I’m So thankful he’s healthy and growing but sometimes I want to hold him right where he’s at and cherish the moment forever. He is doing so many new things, laughing out loud, rolling over, eating baby cereal, playing with his toes, etc. It is so much fun to watch him change. Yesterday he had his first fall. He was sitting on the couch in the corner and I wasn’t 10 feet from him and before I knew it he was on the floor head first. :( I think my scream scared him more than the fall. I’ll have to calm down a bit in that department. I’ve been taking a few photos the last while but have definately slowed down since I’m working more.

P.S. We are getting lots of snow this morning. They are predicted 24″ for our area. FUN!

I love watching him sleep. So peaceful.

And wake up time..

This is him… his eyes disappear with his big smiles

I couldn’t resist this one. Shows you what he’s into mostly these days. ALL object are intended for his mouth.

I love this verse this morning…..

Unto Thee, O my strength, will I sing

  For God is my defense

And the God of my Mercy. Psalms 59:17

8 Months…..

I can hardly believe that almost 8 months have passed since we said ” I do ” . It has been the most wonderful 8 months of my life. I would never choose to go back even if I don’t regret my single life at all. I loved that season of life as well. I’m so thankful for my Godly, loving husband. I was looking through some of our photos and enjoying remembering all the good things on that day. Family, friends and God’s presence. All photo credit’s go to simpleframes.com, flowers to Sheila’s flowers, videography to reflectionography.com, music to Life is Beautiful Music, ceremony to oldzionchurch.org, reception to edenresort.com, and many other details to family and friends. :) YOU all made it possible!

January blessings…..

We had a wonderful time being together with my family, in PA over New Years. But now it’s back to the lovely Colorado and our lives. We have been having some mild weather so the other evening we took Alexander to the park to take a walk. It had almost reached 70 earlier in the day so it was still beautiful.

The other evening I was supposed to be making flour tortillas and I substituted an ingredient and much to my surprise I got something more like pie dough. So, I made this (below) and we loved it. It reminded me of how God does this in our lives. When we mess up and stray from His plan, He makes something good anyway if we allow Him to.

And of course, my little sunshine! We are working on being able to self entertain again this week. After a weekend of non-stop attention it’s been an adjustment for the little guy. But he’s learning again. He loved all his aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandma!

Alexander’s 1st Christmas…

We had a wonderful Christmas going over to Isaac’s siblings’ house for lunch. An Ethiopian lunch. Love that food! I’ve posted a few photos of the day and also a few of Alexander’s 3 month photos. He’s doing great. Growing, laughing out loud, teething, and so many other new things.

Isaac gave me this beautiful locket ornament!

He loves when Isaac plays guitar.
